The Serious Stuff…
Emily is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand View University and working toward gaining a Play Therapy Certificate. This additional training enhances her ability to engage with young clients through creative and interactive methods that complement her narrative approach. Emily employs a narrative approach that encourages clients to explore and reframe their life stories, fostering greater self-understanding and resilience and she aims to create a more dynamic and supportive environment where clients can express themselves and address their challenges in innovative ways. Emily’s therapeutic practice is centered on the belief that individuals are the authors of their own lives. By guiding clients to examine and reframe their personal narratives, she helps them gain new perspectives, identify their strengths, and rewrite their stories in alignment with their values and goals
The Fun Stuff…
Emily enjoys knitting, discovering new restaurants, and traveling when she can. She also loves spending time with her dog, Bilbo. Her hobbies reflect a genuine appreciation for the small joys and experiences in everyday life.
