The Serious Stuff…

Rachel is working toward her Masters of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling K-12, and Clinical Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. She has experience working with clients who are struggling with emotional regulation, conflict resolution, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, internal/external behaviors, exploring their gender and/or sexual identity, transitioning out of high school and into adulthood, exploring/identifying who they are, and more. Rachel is trained in various therapeutic approaches to help tailor each treatment and intervention to the client’s unique needs. She primarily utilizes a client-centered approach with the belief in providing a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns and she strives to collaborate with my clients and families to develop effective practical strategies and techniques tailored to their unique needs, fostering personal growth and positive change.

Rachel sees clients out of the Ankeny and WDM location.

The Fun Stuff…

Rachel enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, and getting out in nature whenever possible. Most often you will find her goofing off, playing with new gadgets, reading, or looking up new, fresh, and fun recipes, activities, and DIY projects to try. She also enjoys being around all animals, especially her two lovely kitties, and she never shy’s away from a relaxing evening with them on the couch binging a good show.
