The Serious Stuff…
Ellen received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The College of St. Scholastica and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Ellen works primarily with pre-teens to young adults, focusing on anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity and self-discovery, trauma, grief and loss, and other mental health concerns. Ellen uses a person-centered approach to counseling while drawing on psychodynamic theory as a foundation for her clinical work.
Ellen sees clients at Northview Middle School and Prairie Ridge Middle School in Ankeny.
The Fun Stuff…
Ellen enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats, Boromir and Athena. She enjoys being outdoors hiking, running, fishing, or just being out in the sun. Ellen is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching football and basketball with her family. Ellen also loves to read, write, and watch movies in her free time.
